I have deleted the intro to this write up probably about 5 times already… but fuck it, let me just write…

JORJONY, one of the Bronx’s illuminating models. One of the most outstanding individuals, I have met throughout my photographic career. It’s because I remember being in New York City with my mother around 2012 or so. I was in college, and we were rushing out of Time Square Station to head back home to Jersey. As we’re rushing by, I see this tall about 6’ ft, ambiguous male with blonde hair and I’m blurted, “AMA! Mire ese man ahi, ese man se ve que es modelo y le quiero tomar fotos!” (Hella Colombian yeahhhh I know!) “AMA! Look at the man over there, he’s looks like he is a model. I want to photograph him!

She immediately told me go ask for his information and make that connection.

(MIND YOU… THIS IS ALL HAPPENING IN A SPAN OF 1 - 3 MINS SO ADD THE RUSH EFFECT and DUN DUN MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND)

SOOOO… I immediately went up to him and my curly headed self said to him,

Me: taps shoulder “Hi! Uhhhh Do you model?”

Jorjony: looks down “Oh hi! Yeah I mean like some shoots.”

Me: “I’m a photographer, I would love to create some shoots with you when I come back I live in Miami, but I know we’ll work!”

Jorjony: “Hell yeah!”

(HELLA PROPER AND SHIT) k byeeeee!

AIGHT! Sooo BOOM we exchanged info and we never reconvened up until my opportunity to develop myself with, uhhhh hello my family 8and9, in 2014. That’s when we created these… fire… crispi fotos! Crazy part is that our first shoot my 2nd model was scouted day of, in the streets of the Lower East Side, his name is AJ. He was not to fond in the beginning that the universe allowed me to discover this other gem, randomly walking to work that day.

Fast forward to 2021… and I proclaim he is one of New York’s ambiguous hard working figures in The Bronx, modeling and becoming one of the unique faces photographed for 8and9 Clothing.
