Walker’s Legacy’s participation in this years Black Tech Week in Miami, FL, founded by power woman Felecia Hatcher and her husband Derick Pearson of CodeFever, was a huge success.
Women from across the country participated in our three informative and power packed events activated by Walker’s Legacy in partnership with the Knight Foundation and Black Tech Week.
Programs included our Women in Innovation panel discussion with Maia Sharpley, Vice President, Strategy & Innovation, Kaplan; Jewel Burks, Founder, PartPic & Diversity Evangelist at Google; and Aurelia Crews Director of Rokk3r Source; an evening reception in partnership with Harvard and MIT alum; as well as a highly informative program on Protecting your Intellectual Property with Joycelyn Brown Managing Partner, Brown Intellectual Property Law, Janewa Osei Tutu , Professor of Law at Florida International University, and Devona Reynolds Perez, Of Counsel for Murray Law PA.
